Non-residents can buy property in Spain on the same legal basis as residents. You will need an NIE and, in practice, a Spanish bank account. Lenders typically finance a lower share of the price for non-residents. Owning property in Spain can create Spanish tax obligations even if you do not let it; take advice from a tax adviser.
