Snagging is the inspection of a new property to identify defects before or at handover. A written snagging list is sent to the developer, who should rectify the items. Spanish building law (LOE) also provides warranty periods: 1 year for finishing defects, 3 years for defects affecting habitability and 10 years for structural defects.
